Medical Missions Africa (MeMA) exists to mobilize individuals, churches, and institutions for effective mission engagement. We believe that every believer has a role to play in God’s mission, regardless of profession or background. Through intentional training, exposure, and mentorship, we prepare people to serve the underserved and reach the unreached with the love of Christ. Our mobilization efforts are designed to awaken a passion for missions and equip people to live out their faith in practical ways.
Equipping Medical and Non-Medical Volunteers
MeMA equips both medical and non-medical volunteers to serve in diverse mission contexts. We work with medical students, healthcare professionals, church members, young professionals, and community volunteers who desire to use their skills for a greater purpose.
Through our programs, participants are trained to see their professions and talents as tools for compassion, service, and gospel witness. This approach allows individuals from different backgrounds to contribute meaningfully to mission work.
Practical Training and Field Exposure
Our mobilization model combines classroom-based training with hands-on field experience. Participants receive cross-cultural mission training, discipleship, and spiritual formation that prepares them for service in challenging environments.
They also take part in team-based outreach experiences and practical field exposure, where they encounter real community needs. These experiences help volunteers grow in faith, develop practical skills, and gain a deeper understanding of mission work.
Structured Mission Pathways
MeMA offers structured mission preparation pathways that guide individuals from initial interest to active engagement in missions. The Sacred Tensions Program provides short-term mission exposure and introduces participants to cross-cultural ministry and community outreach.
For those seeking deeper formation, the Shalom Pathway is a long-term program designed to develop resilient, mission-minded professionals who serve with both skill and spiritual maturity. These pathways provide clear steps for growth and long-term involvement in missions.
Mobilizing Churches and Institutions
MeMA partners with churches, mission agencies, and institutions to strengthen mission engagement at every level. We organize mission conferences, seminars, and discipleship training that help churches build a strong culture of missions.
We also train believers in disciple-making movements and community-based discipleship, equipping them to reach their own communities effectively. Through these partnerships, we help raise a generation that is actively involved in God’s mission both locally and globally.
